Goodsell & Company Financial Services was formed in 2006 out of our firm of Certified Public Accountants - Goodsell & Company Inc., CPAs. The purpose was to focus our time, attention and resources more directly on providing for the secure futures of our clients.
In general, we find that most financial services firms either emphasize investments or they emphasize financial planning. Coming from our background as a CPA firm we are service (planning) oriented not product (investment) oriented. We utilize the familiarity we already have with our CPA firm clients and leverage it into an even more in-depth understanding of our clients through the planning process. This allows us to integrate the financial planning process with effective tax planning to formulate strategies tailored specifically to each client.
The investment process is still an important component of what we do for our clients. However, investment selection generally becomes a product of the planning process as the nature of the investments is determined by what is potentially needed to implement and fulfil the plan.
We apply the same high standards of ethics and expertise and the same level of commitment to service that our CPA firm is known for.
